York/Lancaster Thorns Rugby
Based in the Lancaster/York area of Pennsylvania, Thorns Rugby is a division 3 senior club that competes in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union (EPRU) and beyond. The Thorns were established in 2005 and are the current holders of the 2025-2026 EPRU Women’s D3 Championship title. Throughout the years the Thorns have traveled the tri-state area and even internationally to compete, but the privilege of representing our club on the national stage by playing at the Atlantic Super Regionals (Niagara Falls, NY) for the first time was a banner achievement.
The Thorns embrace diversity on and off the pitch, striving to create a positive environment so every player, no matter the skill level, can thrive. It's never too late to join, whether you have never touched a rugby ball, are just coming off of a college career, or if you have been away from the game for a while, we would love to have you with us.
YWCA
YWCA Lancaster is on a mission to eliminate racism, empower women, stand up for social justice, help families and strengthen our community.
For over a century, Lancastrians have depended on the YWCA and we won’t stop until injustice is rooted out, until institutions are transformed, until the world sees women, girls, and people of color the way we do: Equal. Powerful. Unstoppable.
